Jazz-novo software

The most important part of eye movement analysis is the separation of three types of eye movement signal changes, namely saccades, continuous "slow" eye movements and artefacts. In dynamic visual environment the continuous eye velocity, as well as the signal changes caused by the displacement of the eye movement sensor in relation to the eye and the eye blinks, can all approach typical saccadic velocities, making separation difficult. The software provided with Jazz-novo helps the user to carry this very central task of eye movement signal analysis. The original Jazz-novo data can be also exported to a text file for use in any commercially available analysis software. In the software package provided with the JAZZ-novo system two applications are included:

JazzRecorder - the application for receiving, recording and visualisation of the data incoming from the measurement device. The JazzRecorder application allows the user to record the data in the binary format on the hard disk, and provides number of modules for on-line watching of the incoming data in form of for example raw signal flow charts, head tilt based on the accelometers data, heart rate calculated from the pletyzmographic signals, or playing the audio signal recorded by the microphone.

JazzManager - the application allows to review previously recorded data on the hard disk, with options of copying selected signals to other data file, exporting data to the text file, labeling of the signals, calibrating and detecting saccades in the eye movement signal.
